As part of this structured growth we have a vacancy for a Network Support Engineer based at one of our locations in Wakefield or Derby. This vacancy offers right candidate the opportunity to learn and develop in their networking skills in a cutting edge service provider environment with access to many technologies and products. Supported by a team of Cisco and Juniper certified experts, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills.

Essential Skills:
Experiencing of installing and supporting Cisco and/or Juniper networking LAN and WAN solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good technical ability with a solid grounding in routing, switching, security products and technologies
Have a can do attitude, be able to pick up and learn new technologies in a fast moving dynamically changing environment
Qualifications/Certifications (or equivalent practical exposure)
Qualifications are less important to us than ability, however the following would be advantageous
Cisco CCNA and/or Juniper JNCIA

Key tasks & Responsibilities:
Working within the network support team and based at one of our offices/Data Centre you will:
Supporting customers networks – Ethernet LANs & WANs, routers, switches, firewalls
Own and manage support tickets
Utilise network management tools to support customer networks
Carry out standard network provisioning tasks
Define and perform change controls
Work with other support teams – Service Desk, Voice, Cloud and Applications
You may be required to attend customer sites and visit remote sites; therefore a full UK driving license is essential.
Although not essential, the ability to support or knowledge of DSL, service provider and data centre networks would be advantageous.
Candidates who progress through to the interview stage will be required to demonstrate their abilities.
