School for children with EBD and challenging behaviour requires permanent Higher Level Teaching assistant to work in a small school setting with children aged 11-18 who are currently in residential care and therefore fairly challenging in a classroom environment.

The role will involve offering support to teaching staff in a class setting, ensuring that the children and young people are learning and getting the most out of their education experience through accurate delivery of the neccessary curriculum.

Job role comes with a high level of responsibility, at times you will be supervising the classroom setting all the while promoting a positive learning environment in which the children can benefit from the education and facilities on offer.

Previous experience in an EBD setting is critical here to allow you to develop within the role. Knowledge of OFSTED and educational standards agencies is essential.

To complement and support the teachers' delivery of the school curriculum and contribute to the development of students.

Working collaboratively with teachers in planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes and to encourage students to become independent learners, supporting their welfare and their emotional and behavioral development.

  • To provide support for teachers and students in order to raise standards of achievement for all.

  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
