My rapidly expanding client is looking for a Merchandising Analyst to join their busy team based in Plymouth.

About your new employer and role;

Working in a busy head office as a Merchandising Analyst you will ensure optimal stock fulfilment by way of managing order levels, central stock holding and highlighting poor performing suppliers.

Job Requirements;

Stock Management

Checking that all `active` lines have order levels.
Liaising with stores and suppliers via email and telephone.
Checking that all `active` lines centrally held are replenished into the central distribution centres.
Ensuring that any promotional activity is fully supported with appropriate levels of stock replenishment.
Identify and question any lines or suppliers not performing to expectation (i.e. High stocks and low/no sales).
Decide level amendments in relation to stock consumption rates.
Monitor `critical` stock lines.
Working with the Buying team to review weekly trading performance on KPIs and to identify any issues and opportunities in weekly trading conditions.
Responsible for stock turn within the company agreed parameters.
Purchase order Management

Placing orders.
Monitoring supplier performance against lead times.
Highlight to the trading team any underperforming Suppliers.
Highlight to the trading team any suppliers who regularly do not meet minimum order values when replenishing.
Assisting the Buyer in managing the supplier base to maximise availability, supplier and depot service in line with agreed KPIs and timelines.
Maintaining and creating suitable ordering schedules (including prescribed bookings).
Forecasting inbound Far East stock requirement, calculate container loadings and manage End-2-End ordering process.
Special Projects

Any projects or works as required by the needs of the business.

Minimum Skills

Microsoft Excel – Intermediate level
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Email
Communication & Training

Hold regular weekly contact with the departmental buyer to ensure that cross functional communication is maintained.
Ensure that the Logistics assistant is kept fully informed of current events within the department (if applicable)
This is a temporary to permanent contract, whereby after 12 weeks probation you will be transferred as a permanent member of staff. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.45am - 5.30pm and salary offered is £19,000.
