A well-established and well-respected aerospace manufacturing organisation is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Project Engineer based in Manchester to join its expanding team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to move into the aerospace sector and at the same time progress to full Project Manager status, with support for further career development, based on aptitude and ability.

As the Project Engineer your duties will include:

- Supporting the design and manufacture of proprietary, specialised systems for its' prestigious client base within aerospace sector.
- Liaising with customer representatives, as well as internal departments to develop plans, to support the contract specification.
- Working within cross-functional teams and providing an effective interface with all departments, as well as a nominated single point of contact for the customer.
- Compiling detailed information, consistent with meeting key customer milestones, including program plans, timelines, engineering and manufacturing schedules.

To be a successful Project Engineer (Aerospace) you will have the following skills and experience:

- Knowledge or experience of New Product Development / New Product Introduction.
- Be experienced in Project Engineering and/or Management.
- A skill set which includes budgeting, planning and scheduling, combined with a proven ability to negotiate.
- Good analytical and problem-solving capability with knowledge and experience in engineering and manufacturing, including pre-production processes in a regulatory environment.
- Experience of dealing and negotiating with customers and suppliers, possibly within a sales environment is also highly advantageous.
- Experienced in the use of MS-Office programmes - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in preparing reports.
- Understanding of MRP systems would also be an advantage.

In return, the Engineer (Aerospace) will receive a negotiable salary of c£35,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package including pension, healthcare and potential bonus.
