Credit Control Assistant

Omega Resource Group is an award winning recruitment business providing a wide range of resourcing solution locally, nationally and world-wide. Part of the Passionate about People Group, the other businesses within the group are Datum RPO, an outsourced resourcing solutions business and Omega Engineering Services, providing design and implementation of testing solutions.

The finance department provides support to all parts of the group over 10 UK locations. This role is an additional member to join the existing team to support growth of the business.

Job Purpose

To assist the Credit Controller in maintaining the integrity of the sales ledgers of the group, the timely collection of outstanding debts, dealing with customer queries, maximising cash flow, minimising the company's exposure to bad debts and the maintenance of the credit insurance system.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collection of monies due by telephone, email and letter, aiming to keep disapproved figure below the agreed target.
* Requesting of credit insurance and maintaining existing cover/database
* Maintaining the integrity of the sales ledger
* Contribute to the effective management of customer credit limits by obtaining credit reports and providing information from internal/external systems
* Ensuring the timely resolution of customer queries
* Highlighting to the Credit Controller any potential problem clients

Experience and Skills:

* Some experience of credit control / finance
* Office based experience in a busy, dynamic environment
* Strong customer service skills, pleasant, helpful manner as minimum.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Good level of numeracy / literacy.
* Strong IT skills, use of Microsoft suite of packages.
