- £36,000 to £42,000 Basic salary (experience dependent) plus benefits.
- Training and mentorships from both the Commercial and Technical Director.
- Northwest Office; commutable from Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Warrington, Liverpool and surrounding areas.
- Occasional UK & International travel.
Mercury Hampton is working exclusively with this client. Our Client is leading manufacturer of complete systems and mechanical engineered products for applications throughout the HVAC & Building services sectors [they are part of a £1 Billion T/O group]. They are a customer focused company who encourage forward thinking, empowerment and engineering innovation.
As Applications Engineer you will work closely with the customers [via phone, email and face to face] to understand and educate them on best product application [design] for their needs and objectives; – customers include HVAC contractors, M&E consultants, distributors and other original equipment manufacturers [OEM’s]. You will play a lead role in pulling together the commercial and technical teams with a view to understanding the customers’ engineering needs from the enquiry/quotation stage through to successful product manufacture [providing technical support, design queries, pre-sales and after-sales advice]. You will also work with other members of the engineering team to generate a layout design [bespoke designs most cases], once completed this will be communicated with the production teams for manufacture. In some cases, you may need to advise the manufacturing teams on any bespoke production requirements and may also work closely with installations teams to ensure a successful outcome [this is a very diverse and exciting engineering role].
Candidates; We are looking to speak with engineers who have previously worked as a Design Engineer, CAD Engineer or Applications Engineer and want to step up into something multifaceted and exciting! The successful candidate MUST have solidworks / inventor [3D design experience] and will also be a qualified engineer. It will be considered advantageous to have experience of working with flow control, pumps, valves, pressure relief or HVAC products [or associated]. If this role sounds exciting please apply now!
