Part Time Vacancy - 21 Hours per week; Mon, Tues, Wed. Training for this role will require the preferred candidate to work Wed/Thur/Fri for the first month to get a sufficient handover

Description and Main Purpose of Job:

  • To ensure correct recording and reporting of all bank and cash transactions relating to the company and its subsidiaries.

Accountability and Key Performance Areas:

  • Sound knowledge of and adherence to the Business Management Systems (BMS) framework and governance
  • Demonstrate behaviours and attitude which align to and support the company core values
  • Completeness of bank records

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Operational Leadership Team (OLT) and/or other Management Forums completing specific focused tasks, to support the continuing improvement in operational excellence and the long-term company strategy
  • Recording of transactions on the company’s accounting system relating to all cash and bank accounts
  • Maintenance of balances on the company’s accounting system relating to all cash and bank accounts
  • Maintaining and updating exchange rates on accounting system
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations
  • Production of reports and cash flows (daily and weekly)
  • Dealing with preparation of payments for international entities and currencies (including payrolls)
  • Control of petty cash and preparation of manual cheques
  • Ad-hoc support to finance transaction team as and when required
  • Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these

  • Educated to "Highers" exams or equivalent
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Considerable experience in a similar role with high degree of accuracy
  • Good communication & organisational skills
  • Ability to work using own initiative and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Integrity and a high commitment to the performance of the role and the business
  • Flexible approach to the performance of the work with ability to react to urgent requirements
  • Ability to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal & external), ensuring company requirements are met


  • Previous accounting experience
