MRO Technician – Assembly & Test

If you are competent with visual inspection, dis-assembly and have a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent in engineering this is the job for you.

Brief Description of Duties

The role involves the Stripping, Assessing, Re-Assembly and Testing of a wide variety of Heat Exchangers and Sub-Assemblies in accordance with the CMM (Component Maintenance manual) and other documented Procedures.

MRO Technician – Assembly & Test

Key Tasks

  • Visual Inspection of the Unit prior to Dis-Assembly
  • Dis-Assembly of the Unit
  • Cleaning of the Units
  • Visual Inspection of individual piece parts
  • Administration of replacement and scrap parts
  • Testing of Matrices and Air Cooled Units
  • Repair Matrices in accordance with applicable Process Specifications.
  • Testing Thermally Actuated Valves and Actuators
  • Assembly and Test of MCS Birmingham Product.
  • Record and Stamp Unit Returned Record Sheets upon task completion
  • Draft comprehensive Strip Reports
  • Work and adhere to Production Schedule
  • Inform Manager of any problems that may arise
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety Procedures at all times
  • Any other tasks considered commensurate with your role by your Manager

General Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Ideally Applicants should have served a recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent Qualification in an Engineering discipline. The ability to read Drawings and Manuals and work to written technical instructions is paramount.
  • Candidates should possess good practical Assembly / Test skills, speed and accuracy combined with an attention for detail.
  • Ideally an understanding of Part 145 Airworthiness Regulations.
  • Experience in the use of Hydraulic Test Equipment would be desirable.
  • The successful candidate will be able to co-operate with other team members to achieve Assembly and Test Schedules.
