PPL medical are recruiting a software and hardware engineer to join our small team in Speke, Liverpool. PPL medical is developing of novel inhalation medicines and is expanding its internal skills with an electronics and software engineer. PPL medical is a small, dynamic company and personnel are expected to work autonomously within the team.
The software and hardware engineer will play a key role in product development working closely with our partners to bring novel devices to market. The software and hardware engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the engineering workshop including development of Standard Operating Procedures and supporting the organisation in Medical Device compliance.
The role of the software and hardware engineer will involve the review of basic software of a medical device, the support of hardware testing and design (circuitry) and the establishment of bench scale manufacturing of a medical device.
The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and be able to work autonomously within our small team and have good attention to detail and time planning. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year’s experience working in hardware/software engineering and hold a degree in electronics, software or equivalent.
Experience with medical devices is preferable but not essential. Experience with ISO standards and device manufacture are also preferable.
The following experience is desirable: CAD, Software writing, board layout and design, ISO62133, ISO14971, ISO13485.
