Situated just off the motorway network, between Leeds and Manchester, my client is a market leading construction and home improvement company. Predominantly B2B, they've recently launched a B2C Ecommerce site, and are now looking to recruit an Ecommerce Manager to oversee and grow this side of the business.
Working with the head of digital, you'll be interacting with a number of sub teams such as Digital Marketing, Marketing, IT, and Sales, as well as managing outsourced activity. With experience in a similar capacity, you'll bring your knowledge of:
Strategy and planning
Website and database management
Ongoing improvements and developments
Website promotion (paid, organic, social, email etc)
Performance Analysis and reporting
Communicating to Senior Managers and Directors
This role gives you the benefit of seeing projects through from strategy to delivery. You'll enjoy working widely within the business, and will bring your up to date knowledge of emerging ecommerce technologies and techniques to the table, leading teams of people to help improve the online offering, customer experience, and ultimately increase revenue. And your understanding of the other teams that plug into the ecommerce function, and those the run off the back of it, will enable you to ensure the experience is seamless from landing on the site to delivery and returns.
As such, you will come with a good related degree, and ideally a related vocational qualification, such as Digital Marketing / Google etc. And, with a number of years under your belt in a similar role, you will be comfortable with ecommerce frameworks, content management systems, databases, transaction management, digital marketing (SEO, PPC, Paid Social, Display, Retargeting), and ideally a basic understanding of HTML, CSS. Furthermore your confident, articulate and enthusiastic character will help you to get those around you onboard with your projects. Your natural ability to thrive under pressure, working to and breaking targets, will see you make a real success of the role.
