Your new company
This large multinational, market leaders in their field require a number of additional Java / J2EE specialists to join their team based near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The business have successfully disrupted their marketplace and are constantly innovating to stay ahead of the competition.
These roles will play a crucial part in developing middleware applications that take advantage of modern hardware and software architectures and touch multiple parts of their global infrastructure.
Your new role
You'll join a very well-established, matrix team spread across EMEA and will be involved in enterprise level development projects (both greenfield and maintenance). These are hands-on positions offering mentoring and coaching opportunities, rather than line management.
You'll have Agile experience and will be rotated within delivery teams to ensure variety in the role and the company are strong proponents of continuous progression so you'll have good opportunity to grow your skill set.
The environment is fast paced and ever changing, based on systems where reliability and security is paramount. You'll be responsible for the whole lifecycle through estimation, design, development and testing as well as representing the team to internal and external stakeholders where required.
What you'll need to succeed
Put simply we need fluent Core Java/J2EE developers with previous commercial experience working with Java frameworks and web services in an Agile environment.
Experience of Java Oracle Fusion 11g or relative Middleware technologies will be highly advantageous, as will exposure to Rest API's, SOA, TDD/BDD and Microservice technologies such as Docker/Vagrant/Ansible/Kubernetes.
You should be a proponent of test first development, software design patterns and will have worked on enterprise level Java projects.
