We are currently looking for an experienced and professional PHP Developer/Programmer for our Client in Lincolnshire. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining back end services and the interchange of data between users and servers.

Your main focus will be the development of server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central databases and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. You will need to have an understanding of front end technologies as you will be responsible for integrating the front end elements that your co-workers have built.


  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, Yii, ExtJS, etc
    * Understanding the fully synchronous behaviour of PHP
    * Understanding of MVC design patterns
    * Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
    * Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
    * Understanding accessibility and security compliance
    * Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
    * Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
    * User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
    * Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
    * Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
    * Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
    * Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
    * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
    * SQL Server 2014 Administrator with solid commercial SQL Server 2014 administrator experience and strong SQL language coding skills


  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
    * Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
    * Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
    * Integration of data storage solutions

This is a Full time, permanent role and remote working is not available.
Working hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm
You will need to have 4-5 years of experience working in IT in a busy engineering environment.
