My client offers specialist services in the field of Process Control Instrumentation & Electrical Systems. They are looking to appoint an interim Financial Controller to assist the Company with expansion and also support the budget holders.
They are looking for an experienced qualified accountant with a proven track record whilst using Sage 200 products. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the company Management Accountant and External Accountants.
This will be on an interim basis initially with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
Specific duties will include:
Accountancy policies, procedures and working practices.
Nominal Ledger and departmental structures.
Sage 200 utilisation with specific attention to PA (project Accounting) and BI (Business Intelligence) modules.
Reporting and KPI's
Assist in the production of action list and implementation plan.
Collaborate and assist key staff to implement change as required.
Monitor Month and Year End routines.
Check accuracy of accountancy information.
Act as mentor to key staff as required.
The candidate must have strong IT skills, be self-motivated and a team player. Current experience from an engineering company, working in the contracting sector would be an advantage. We envisage this to require a hands-on approach.
