Marketing Manager, West Yorkshire, 35,000
A specialist in the education sector, this long established business offers data analysis to schools, colleges, and local authorities, in order to help improve overall student performance, and also offers training to teachers and leaders. They are evangelical in the pursuit of improving the lives of students through insight, and have achieved this year on year, with a large proportion of the market in the UK using their services.
They have, until recently, outsourced their Marketing requirements, but have decided that it is time now to bring this function in house. As such they are looking to recruit a Marketing Manager, along with a Marketing Administrator / Designer.
The Marketing Manager role will offer the opportunity to get involved in shaping the ongoing marketing strategy and campaigns, both from an ideas and creative stand point, and also from a scheduling and implementation stand point.
Responsible for communicating the company's values and services, there will be a focus on thought leadership content, as well as product / service information. Typical formats would span print and digital, covering email, website, social, blogs, newsletters, flyers, brochures, videos, reports, surveys, case studies and more. In addition they attend / run a number of conferences each year, which this role will be heavily involved in through helping to organise and creating supporting collateral.
Further to this the successful candidate will be a strong communicator and natural leader. Proposing campaign ideas, reporting back to the director on campaign activity, motivating team members and providing direct reports will be integral to the role. A natural ability to organise ones self and the workload of those in the team is also a must.
Managing people will of course require knowledge of setting, monitoring and reviewing KPIs and performance. And you will also be responsible for encouraging both your own personal development and that of the team around you. Improving the marketing function in general is of course a pre-requisite.
The company is looking for people with a Marketing Degree or Marketing qualification, and a minimum of 5 years in a marketing position, ideally in a related industry. In addition, skills in the Adobe Creative Suite would be highly desirable.
