Page Personnel are currently recruiting a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant based in Kingston upon Hull for a successful sales, manufacturing and production company working in a luxury product market.
The client is a well established and successful sales, manufacturing and production company working in a luxury product market with a Head Office based in Kingston upon Hull. As the market leader in their field the client has built up a fantastic reputation over a number of years and now export their products globally. They are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant in a newly created role, reporting into the qualified accountant.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be reporting into the Company Accountant, your duties will include, however are not limited to: Assist with the management accounts, Responsibility for the Sales Ledger, General Ledger and Purchase ledger month end process, fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments and stock write down, Update the Company cash books, Prepare and submit the HMRC EC Sales List return, Carry out bank reconciliations, Maintain, reconcile and replenish Petty Cash, Prepare the VAT return and submit to HMRC, Prepare, check and send rebate reports, Prepare monthly Company Sales reports, Responsibility for the Company's currency management, Ad hoc projects and analysis.
The successful candidate will:
- Be studying towards an accounting qualification
- Have worked in a finance department previously
- Have assisted with management accounts
- Have an understanding of transactional finance
- Have a strong work ethic
- Work well within a team
- Have good communication skills (written/oral)
