Community Based Registered Nurses for 1:1 package in Sevenoaks

The Superior Healthcare Group is a specialist, Kent based provider of community based care packages, for children and adults who have a wide range of health needs.

Since 2012, we have supported a young gentleman in Sevenoaks who has profound physical and learning disabilities arising from an undiagnosed neurodegenerative disorder. Despite his complex health needs, our client is able to continue to live in the comfort of his family home with the support of a twenty four hour nurse and support worker.

Our client suffers frequent epileptic seizures and visual and audio impairment. He is wheelchair dependent and is fed via a PEG feed.

Despite the challenges that he faces, our client is an active young gentleman who participates in the local community. He has a large friendship network and a supportive family, and he loves to get out and about. Our client likes to go swimming, access the local hospice service and to go out and about in Sevenoaks. When at home, our client enjoys sensory activities which even includes candy floss making!

We are now seeking Registered Nurses in the Sevenoaks area, to join our client's team.

Although our client requires assistance to ensure that his clinical needs are met (including all personal care, moving & positioning, medicines and feed), it is vital to ensure that his social needs are met too and suitable candidates will have experience of supporting people who have profound learning disabilities, be proactive & energetic and willing to 'get stuck in'. Ideally, you will have recent experience of caring for people who have epilepsy and of PEG feeds, although additional training will be provided.

In return, we are able to offer the opportunity to work with a delightful young man who makes the most of life despite the challenges that face him, participate in a regular off-duty (days/nights according to your personal circumstances) and receive competitive rates of hourly pay. Superior offers paid holiday, a company pension scheme and free training.

You must be able to commit to regular shifts (1-2 shifts per week) and have some flexibility to collect extra shifts, to cover holidays, sickness, etc.

To apply to join our client's established team, please send your up to date CV today or, if you prefer, contact Melanie Richards in our Whitstable office.

The Superior Healthcare Group is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this role.

The Superior Healthcare Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer (agy).

Registration is subject to Enhanced DBS and professional references.
