About the Role:
My client is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with two children who have a speech impairment. Both pupils are in Year 2. You as a Teaching Assistant will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with these children, one in the morning and one in the afternoon to ensure the national curriculum material is delivered accordingly to match their individual education plans (IEP). Both pupils are learning at the level of their peers in Reception, therefore the school will be seeking a Teaching Assistant who will be competent in delivering a good level of Phonics. Both pupils are verbal, however, have some stuttering in their speech and do need someone who will be confident and patient in delivering a good level of Numbers and Sounds and Phonics.
There are no challenging behavioural needs attached. This role would suit someone who is hoping to become a Speech and Language Therapist in the future.

Found in Ealing, the school is a 3-form entry school located in between Ealing Broadway station and Hanwell station. The school prides itself in achieving a 'Good' rating by Ofsted for 6 years running in every category and hope to continue this and work their way to becoming an outstanding school.
With their own specialist unit attached to the school, pupils can make good progress with specialist aid on hand.
The school have above average pupils with English as an additional, with 50% of pupils from South Asian background and the remainder 50% making up of (White British and Eastern European)

Requirements for the Role:
Competent in taking small groups and whole classes
Have experience working in Key Stage 1
Excellent skills in both Maths and English
Competent in delivering Phonics

Rate of Pay and Working hours:
£75.00 - £85.00 per day
Your working hours will consist of 08:30am - 16:00pm, Monday to Friday.
1 hour lunch break and 1x 15 min tea break.

You must have recent and a minimum of six months' experience working in primary schools. This experience must be relative to this role. If you do not have this experience, we unfortunately will not be able to continue with your application.
