As the highest performing Family of Schools in the North of England, Outwood Grange Academies Trust is transforming the futures of countless young people.
Having achieved Academy status in March 2015, Outwood Academy Shafton operates at the heart of the highly successful Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Our mission is to give students the best life chances and make learning an exciting and enjoyable lifelong experience.
Starting as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint a committed individual to work as part of a dedicated team of staff. We seek colleagues who can effectively supervise students across the age range 11 to 18 covering lessons for absent colleagues.
This post offers you the opportunity to work in a wide range of subject areas across the curriculum and is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to pursue a career in education. Covering lessons of any subject, you’ll set high expectations to motivate and challenge students, whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
In periods where cover is not required, we’ll look to you to support in the classroom or elsewhere in the academy.
To be successful, you’ll need experience of working in a school environment with students aged 11-16, and must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students, sharing our single goal of 'Students First’.
You can help us create the best possible career pathways for every young person - and enjoy an exciting career yourself, which could take you anywhere within the Trust.

Closing date: Midday on Thursday 15 March 2018.
