First Line Customer Support Executive

Yes? You could be just the person we’re looking for!

Our client is looking for an experienced First Line Customer Support Executive that has excellent communication skills both at an end user and management level and comes from a technical background with experience of Web services both LAN and Hosted cloud systems. You will be required to work as a part of a team to ensure customer reported issues are resolved in a timely fashion ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Provide high quality technical support to customers and field technical support staff who lodge support tickets or require assistance.
* Respond to all support requests in a timely manner
* Keep the customer fully informed of actions being taken to resolve support requests, and timelines for resolution
* Escalate support issues that require higher level input to senior technicians
* Communicate with customers in a diligent and professional manner
* Ensure support cover is provided during working hours Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm (excluding Bank Holidays) and to liaise with the Sales and Support Manager and colleagues to ensure adequate cover during any periods of absence
* Provide client onsite assistance, if required

Skills and Abilities:

* Relevant education in Information Technology or related area.
* Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Embedded, Widows Server 2008, 2012, Microsoft SQL 2008, 2012. Experienced in the installation of server side and client side hardware device drivers.
* Knowledge of setup and configuration of Server configurations both physical and virtual servers to include the setup and configuration Microsoft server operating systems web services and SMTP, IIS, HTTP, HTTPS and DNS services.
* The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of thin client technologies such as VMWare, Windows Terminal Services and Citrix Xenapp.
