My client who is an Oil & Gas company based in the heart of Canary Wharf, are looking for a Desktop Support to join their team.

As part of the Desktop Support team your role will enable you to work across a broad range of technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems and requests.

You will be responsible for resolving IT issues in person, via phone, email or instant message and explaining solutions in technical and nontechnical terms.

Technical Requirements:
• Strong skills with Windows operating system and related software
• Windows 10 experience/knowledge
• Good knowledge of Office 2016
• Good understanding of hardware builds, software upgrades and hardware deployments
• Experience in computer support and troubleshooting
• Can explain and document technical issues in a clear way to a varied audience
• Varied iOS mobile support

The ideal candidate will have:
• A proven track record in a Desktop Support role within a large organization.
• Team player attitude
• Self-sufficient in seeking solutions to technical problems
• Comfortable to follow existing company procedures
• Experienced with working on large scale projects, as part of a team and within set deadlines
• Good customer facing, communication and phone skills
• Ability to pick new tasks up quickly

• Trading floor experience
• Exposure to MarketData real-time applications i.e. Reuters
