As Commercial Finance Manager, you will report directly into the Managing Director providing them with financial support as well providing to Operations and Sales teams within the Catering Division, and ensure the Divisional profitability is maximised.

As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as the link between Operations and Finance and ensure Operations adhere to financial compliance.

Role Responsibilities
• Protecting the Division against all kinds of fraud
• Ensuring Division’s compliance with law and accounting policies for contracted out catering services
• Providing ad-hoc analysis/ Financial modelling on individual contracts and the Division, to assist the MD in decision-making
• Supporting the Division to maximise purchasing income and protecting against all kind of fraud
• Management of working capital
o Reducing Debtors to a minimum
o Reducing stock days
o Maximising cash flow
• Assisting and challenging the control of Site and Overhead expenditure
• Supporting and challenging Operations in close of monthly trading accounts and preparation of variance analysis
• Supporting and Assisting Operations to resolve issues with profitability at problem sites
• Providing training for Operators to improve financial and commercial awareness
• Supporting Operators with the production of new site budgets
• Supporting and challenging on new bids and re-bids, ensuring accuracy and commerciality of all contract financial terms and conducting post tender audits
• Managing the annual budgeting process, reviewing budgets submitted by Operators and collating them and submitting a Final Divisional Budget to Finance
• Presenting results at the monthly Senior Management Team meetings
• Commercially aware and be involved in commercial decision taking within their area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of Contract Catering Industry and rules around Agency and Principle with regards to the Memorandum of Understanding

Must be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or recognised equivalents)
