RLE International is working on behalf of their Essex based Automotive OEM Client, whom are currently looking for an EPD Engine DV (Design Verification) Engineer to join their expanding team within Powertrain.

Position Description:

Design Verification of Gasoline engine components and systems.

Based within Engine Performance Development group in Dunton.

Implementation of dyno based engine test plans / DVP sign-off.

Oversee the installation of test engines in dynos, ensuring correct instrumentation, special component, availability of dress kits, etc.

Ensure engines go on test on time, & run efficiently whilst on test.

Monitor engine performance whilst on test.

Lead resolution of in-cell engine issues.

Liaise with development, component and test engineers to ensure tests run to DVP and functional requirements.

Document component/system issues/failures.

Support relevant engineering meetings.

Skills Required:

In depth understanding of gasoline engine operation.

Familiar with engine component and system design.

Ability to lead or participate in problem solving teams.

PC literate - MS Office (min. Word & Excel) & report writing.

Skills Preferred:

Engine calibration experience preferred.

Familiar with OEM calibration tools (FGEC).

Familiar with OEM calibration interface tools (Concerto, ATI).

Familiar with OEM Systems (AIM, ELMS, DVP&R).

Understand test requirements and procedures in respect of rig, vehicle, or general testing.

Experience Required:

Familiar with engine dyno testing.

Education Required:

Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level (although relevant experience will be considered as an alternative).

Rate: £24.32 per hour limited company rate
