A well established bespoke manufacturing company based in Sheffield are currently recruiting for a Non-Skilled Production Trainee offering a salary of £8.00per hr. The candidate will assist with production and packing of products to the required company and industry standards. Perform inspections to confirm that the work is carried out to the correct specifications and quality is maintained of the products and operational quality systems.

Your duties are, but not limited to:

• Following work instructions for processes involved in the packing and
• Administration related to dispatch of products
• Following instruction from works orders and drawings
• Perform quality checks during the stages of production and highlighting
any discrepancies
• Meeting customer deadlines by achieving daily targets according to the
production schedule
• Recording tasks completed on the appropriate clocking system
including any non-productive hours
• Receive in occasional deliveries from suppliers. Unloading, booking in
and putting away of the delivery
• Reconcile the delivery not to the purchase order for received items
• Working with Administrators to maintain stock levels through just in
time purchasing or minimum stock order levels
• Perform periodic stock level checks to maintain accurate database
• Assist with the maintenance of machinery and report any issues or
• Reporting on stock levels
• Maintain a clean working area
• Perform production tasks required within the allocated time allowed to
complete the job
• Operate machinery safely and in accordance with work instructions
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
and safety
• Contribute to waste management programs
• Identify and report unsafe operations to management immediately
• Cover production operations as needed during busy periods and periods of employee absence

Qualifications and Skills

Essential skills and experience

• Competent user of computer packages and software
• Good numeric and literacy skills
• Ability to build successful working relationships with colleagues and
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Pro-active and self-motivated
Would be an advantage to have
• Knowledge of manufacturing and/or fabrication methods and
• Experience with goods inwards and packing processes
