The client
The Green Recruitment Company is currently working with a leading Environmental Consultancy Company to recruit an Environment Operations Manager. The candidate will need to be a motivated and driven individual to head up the Environment Delivery Team.

About the role
The successful candidate will be accountable for leading a team to supply a number of high profile contracts across the Environment sector, maintaining and developing key stakeholder relationships and the motivation and engagement of a high performing delivery team. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the UK environment sector, policy and experience of leading and managing large team.


• Deliver client services to time, quality and budget
• Lead and manage a high performing delivery team
• Provide strategic and operational direction to delivery managers in order to ensure client quality requirements are met through the delivery of services;
• Provide technical expertise to the Business Development team during the tender process for new business opportunities;
• Oversight of all budgets and financial controls for the wider Environment team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of environment and renewable energy policy and legislation and associated impacts within the public and private sector;
• Knowledge and understanding of building services accreditation and certification frameworks at UK and EU level, particularly in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors;
• Experience of market entry process design and implementation, and of assurance and audit in a regulatory environment;
• Understanding of project management and project development life cycles;
• Business processing and system development, change & configuration management and quality control.
• Financial management knowledge in maintaining sound budgets for daily operations.
• Analysis of complex technical and operational problems and the ability to articulate proposals (verbally and in writing) to technical and non-technical audiences;
• Communicating effectively at managerial levels and to technical and non-technical specialists.
