Role Purpose:

As Group Finance Director you are responsible for the delivery of finance excellence to the Holdings business across all Group Companies and JV partnerships. Providing Strategic financial support to the CEO and playing a key role in the Executive Management Team, developing and maintaining financial plans, structures and reporting, and assisting with the evaluation of growth strategies and plans.

Providing leadership and guidance to the Finance Teams within each of the Group Businesses and JV entities to ensure full regulatory and audit compliance and ensure best practice finance processes and control are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and maintain 3-year financial plans on behalf of the Group, working with key stakeholders across the business.
• Support the Managing Directors of each of the businesses with preparation of annual budgets and 3 years plans, consolidating plans and ensuring alignment to Group Strategy.
• Actively contribute to the effectiveness of the Group of Companies, contributing financial and accounting information and analysis to strategic thinking and direction.
• Develop risk management plans for the Group.
• Manage external relationships with regulatory bodies, HMRC and Auditors on behalf of the Group, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Manage external stakeholders such as Banks and other Key Overhead suppliers.
• Manage the UK HR function on behalf of the Group, ensuring annual reviews process is in place and managed effectively across the Group, managing recruitment and remuneration processes, and ensuring HR policies are regularly updated and rolled out.
• Ensure the correct structures are in place across the finance function within the Group to support the business.
• Support the CEO in evaluation of business growth opportunities both organically and through acquisition as they arise.

Financial Control & Management Information

• Provide leadership to the Finance Teams within each of the businesses across UK & India, ensuring SOP are in place and being followed.
• Ensure documented finance policies and controls are in place and regular reviews carried out to ensure compliance to financial controls including quarterly balance sheet account reviews.
• Review monthly management accounts for Group and JV entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information, carrying out financial analysis on business performance to highlight risks and Opportunities to 3-year plans, recommending corrective action as required to Executive Team.
• Oversee Intercompany transactions and balances.
• Manage cash flow position across the Group, ensuring risk management is in place for Foreign exchange position.
• Evaluate financial instruments to support cash management.
• Carry out analysis to support Commercial development of the Group, working with the Managing Directors of each of the businesses.
• Ensure year-end audits are completed and actions implemented in a timely fashion.
Technology & Project Management

• Work with the Group CTO on the development of a robust Project review plan ensuring Capital Expenditure is managed effectively across the portfolio.
• Ensure System for Executive sign off projects is in place and reporting and tracking of ROI is in place for Capital Projects.
• Work with each of the businesses to ensure that opportunities to reduce cost effectiveness or increase productivity are identified and implemented.
• Identify ways to use technology to reduce the operating cost of the finance function across the Group.
• Ensure Capex budgets are in place to support the business growth plans.
• Project manage any projects assigned on behalf of the Executive team.
• Qualified ACA Accountant.
• A proven record of success in a senior level finance role, preferably in the leisure or travel environment.
• Experience in implementing financial controls, policies and procedures across outsourced businesses.
• Experience of Group Accounting, budgeting & forecasting.
• Can influence at a senior level across multiple Group Companies.
• Influencing and presentation skills with an appreciation of the demands of a multi Company business.
• Strong financial, risk management, and business acumen.
