We support a number of Blue chip organisations in the Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Chemical Process, Robotics and Materials Handling sectors throughout the UK, providing a range of turnkey automation solutions for projects valued between £50k to £2M.

In line with our business strategy and expansion targets we currently recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager who has a strong technical solution sales approach and the ability to develop both new and existing client relationships.

The successful Business Development Manager will Ideally be technically qualified to degree level or equivalent combined with experience of selling solutions to a number of industries including Food & Beverage / Oil & Gas / Pharmaceutical / and other industries.

The successful Business Development Manager will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• A proven track record of successfully working within the Automation, Controls Systems industry as a strong solutions provider
• A track record of working with and exceeding KPI’s and Targets
• The ability to identify and research new market segments and business opportunities within the controls and automation sector and further develop potential new clients
• Preparation of detailed technical customer quotations for bespoke Control Systems
• Strong Negotiation skills when pricing work, rework or variations
• Liaise directly with customers (throughout all stages of a project / programme)
• Work alongside Programme Managers to develop existing client relationships and identify future requirements on site(s)
• Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences both verbally and in writing combined with strong presentation skills with both technical and commercial content
• Attend meetings to discuss and agree project activity schedules and individual project requirements
• Liaise with Business Unit Managers and Business Developers throughout our Automation Divisions and the Vinci Network to identify both current and new opportunities where we can collaborate and strengthen our ability to meet client demands and expectations on delivery
