Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be a driven and confident Maths Teacher who has a history of 'Good' or better teaching and the tools to create a positive learning environment. You will have the ability to quickly establish yourself as a key member of staff through your enthusiasm and willingness to take on responsibility. The Headteacher wants to recruit a teacher with a innovative, inventive approach and a passion and focus when teaching. The school wants teachers who can deliver fun, interactive lessons and deal with bad behavioural issues swiftly and effectively.

About the Role
You will be joining the school's industrious Maths Department. Weekly feedback and supervision sessions are held between parallel classes and you will be expected to contribute and attend these, as the school have found that sharing of best practice and peer feedback make for truly ‘Outstanding’ teaching. You will be carrying out this role under the full support of the SLT who are a really welcoming and supportive group of practitioners. Day-to-day, you will be joining a very popular Maths Department which has seen an increase in subscriptions over the past few years and is increasingly important to the academic landscape of the school. You will work with pupils in KS3 and KS4, delivering the required curriculum to a high standard and preparing them for their exams later on in the year. You will be effectively supported by the Head of Maths who has an excellent reputation within the school and has created a high-achieving teaching team. As a Maths Teacher you will be utilising the school's expanded resource budget to ensure your lessons are modern and inclusive; currently the department has access to a state-of-the-art ICT suite. Your responsibilities will include using some of the school's leading facilities and equipment, including interactive play areas, to deliver top quality education on a consistent basis. You will have the responsibility of making the most of working in a well equipped school where teachers have everything they need to thrive including visual sensory rooms.
