**Financial Controller - approx. 9 months contract - up to £600 day rate Umbrella or £500 day rate PAYE (INscope IR35) - Defence Organisation - Corsham, Wiltshire**

Our client is part of Central Government Organisation based in Corsham, Wiltshire who are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
Management of the finance function, preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows. Lead delivery of 10 year plan and quarterly review of 10 year plan including development, costing and financial assurance of savings and capability change options to meet financial constraints. Production of statutory and internal financial reports, financial modelling and analysis, cash management, treasury duties and preparation of VAT returns. Oversee control and reconciliation procedures such that accounts are robust, associated Project Account, asset delivery and inventory information is accurately maintained and reconciled and reporting (including Team Leader Review Financial Position) is delivered. . Lead delivery of a robust compliance and governance framework including discharge of effective financial reporting and audit requirements, Value For Money (VFM) and affordability scrutiny, assurance and financial concurrence within delegated authority.

Ideal experience required for this role:
Previous Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, Head of Finance or similar senior accountancy experience is required
Experience working within a Public Sector, Government, Defence, Military environment or similar is desirable
Ideally ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or similar accountancy qualification
Demonstrated experience of managing and delivering on large and complex projects
Strong man management experience - demonstrating exceptional leadership skills
Excellent budget management and cost saving expertise
Experience IT systems knowledge and experience particularly in Oracle Financial Systems and Advanced in Excel
Excellent communication skills - ability to liaise with clientele at all levels
