Job Title: Apprenticeship Funding Data Controller
Salary: £24,197 – £31,960 depending on skills and experience
Permanent | Full Time Hours
As the successful candidate, you’ll manage the process of claiming funds for apprenticeship training programmes across SSE. You’ll assure the associated delivery of the programmes against the funding rules and compliance requirements. Working alongside the apprenticeship programme co-ordinators, you’ll provide consultative guidance and support, enabling SSE to deliver high contract performance and quality apprenticeships for our businesses, customers, training providers, and the apprentices themselves. In addition, you’ll maintain a high awareness of government funding rules changes and other relevant information.
Your Skills and Experience
You’ll have a good understanding of the apprenticeship levy, skills agenda and apprenticeship programmes available nationwide. Experience of working with government funding bodies, such as the Education & Skills Funding Agency or Skills Development Scotland, would be preferred. You should be able to demonstrate a rounded understanding of compliance requirements and an awareness of both the Ofsted Common Inspection Framework and SDS Quality Standards Framework. A working knowledge of financial forecasting and budget cycles would be advantageous.
You’ll be proficient in the user of Microsoft Office, with an excellent knowledge of advanced formulae in Microsoft Excel. Ideally, you’ll have experience using an Individualised Learner Record data tracking tool. A self-motivated problem solver, you’ll be capable of making educated decisions, managing workloads under your own initiative and meeting strict deadlines. Your strong work ethic and analytical skills will be invaluable.
