This is a “hands-on” team lead position that requires technical expertise and knowledge of Networking and Firewall technologies.
Graduate-level qualified in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline (or minimum 5 years’ experience leading a network team in an enterprise environment)
Appropriate certifications or experience in core Cisco based technology platforms (ideally Cisco CCNP).

As the Network Team Lead you will be responsible for the technical leadership, maintenance, monitoring and architecture of the network infrastructure and the management of our clients co-located Data Centres, voice, video, data communications and network security. Leading a small team of network engineers, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, operation, maintenance and security of our clients’ enterprise network infrastructure environment.
Managing the day to day workload and priorities of the Network Team. Scheduling resources efficiently and effectively for both “business as usual” operations and projects.
Devising policies, procedures and runbooks to improve efficiency and ensure best practice for your team’s functional area. Monitoring and ensuring that policies, procedures and runbooks are adhered to, with a keen appreciation of risk, security, audit and regulatory compliance.
Recruiting, retaining and developing a high-performing team.
Establishing career development plans, training for direct reports and providing appropriate mentoring and coaching,
Conducting timely annual and interim performance reviews and setting objectives to cultivate a culture of high performance
In addition to delivering a stable and reliable core network service, you will play a key role in strategic programme delivery.
Providing technical leadership and guidance for the Network team.
Delivering a stable and reliable core network service via proactive monitoring and alerting to ensure that production remains highly available, secure and performant.
Ensuring that the estate is efficiently managed with complete and accurate records kept (e.g. procedures, network topologies and roadmaps, configurations, supplier reviews).
Acting as the primary technical escalation point for major incidents related to Network service. Managing major incidents as a member of the IT Incident Management team.
Ensuring availability, integrity, and security of data in line with SLAs, policies and applicable legislation.
Holding suppliers accountable for service delivery, ensuring that SLAs are appropriate and maintained and that costs are controlled.
