Content Writer / Communications Planner
This is a unique role that requires a combination of Marketing Planning/Strategy /Insight experience with a strong writing ability.
The Client is a dedicated team of marketing and media experts with the skills, tools and services to help brands and agencies get the most from mail. Our aim is to inspire, enable, and support business to use and grow mail as a key part of their communications plans.
The Client has made a significant and on-going investment in insight about mail - its role, use and value. This insight has been shared with our customers and contacts in a number of ways including: reports, white papers, presentations, events, digital content and social media. The impact of this work has been central to our success. We now seek a skilled marketing thinker and writer to help us continue and strengthen this core part of our work.
In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for developing the messaging that communicates our unique role to the marketing community.
You will be part of a Communications, Media, and Data Planning team that supports advertising mail revenue across all UK sectors and influencers such as agencies, industry bodies and printers.
Specifically, the role is to work with the many sources of insight that the client use to support the 'case for mail' and help us translate them into materials that can be presented to our broad audience, from one to many. Your work will reach the broadest levels of UK organisations ranging from newly minted marketing executives up to those occupying the C-suite.
You'll be confident researching, interpreting and drawing insight, developing marketing analyses and creating thought leadership content for the marketing and media industry. You'll also be adept at working closely with a range of teams who will be involved in planning and using the materials you are developing.
Proven knowledge of, and experience with marketing.Proven expertise as a writer across a number of formatsExperience within an advertising, media or direct marketing agency or a strategic consultancy or a related writing roleExperienced in the interpretation of marketing and media insight and researchA strong understanding of how to effectively use and interpret data to create insight and engaging contentKnowledge, experience and ability to actively engage with senior management and stakeholdersThe ability to develop strong opinions and mesh them with the opinions and insights of othersThe ability to write from different perspectives; e.g. reports, thought leadership, blog post from othersFamiliarity with a variety of industries is a distinct advantage
