Senior Data Analyst - SQL / SQL Server / Python
Our client is a global leader within the Data, Digital and Technical Solutions arena. Based out of Exeter, we are assisting with the recruitment of a senior data analyst to join a vibrant, experienced and passionate team and develop their career further within an analytical discipline.
Salary will be dependant on experience.
You will be experienced in working with large consumer data sets, focused on quality and compliance, with an ability to match and make sense of information from disparate sources.
You are comfortable working in both internal project requirements to improve and develop existing products and services, also assisting in the creation of entirely new business offerings. You will also have worked on customer projects, potentially liaising with those external colleagues, and are happy to participate in conference calls and web meetings
You are a problem solver able to receive information from colleagues, analyse and interpret the issues, and come up with smart and innovative solutions
You are also happy to 'muck in’ with the Business As Usual requirements of the business.
You are keen to learn and potentially have aspirations to become a Data Scientist.
To recognise the importance and benefits of effective team work, assisting colleagues and providing cover as and when required. This also includes respecting and motivating your colleagues in other departments who are responsible for servicing and supporting your activity, plus maintaining effective communication links with other teams and departments.
·Proficient with SQL, preferably with experience in SQL Server.
·Experience with manipulation of large data sets with a consumer focus.
·Strong analytical skills.
·Self starter, able to work under minimum supervision when appropriate.
·Medium scale project work for internal and customer requirements.
·Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers of varying skill and knowledge levels.
·Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
·Python (or other high level programming language)
·R (or other comparable statistical language)
·Statistical methods & technologies, but more importantly, the ability to determine which methodology is appropriate for a particular requirement.
