BE INSPIRED… Grants and Major Gifts Fundraiser Based: Taunton 37 hours per week, Salary: Circa £27,000 per annum Our client is the leading provider of end of life services in Somerset. Their track record of investing in high quality and caring support means they are one of the UK’s largest Hospices. They deliver care for over 3,800 people each year who face a life limiting illness. Only 25% of their costs are supported by the NHS. The rest is provided by charitable income through their fundraising, their shops and from donations. Their pioneering services depend upon the best people who can innovate and provide the best care possible for patients and their families. In this exciting position you will manage a small team with a focus on raising funds from trusts and foundations, legacy and major gift fundraising. They are looking for someone who can deliver and develop their plans and meet targets while motivating and inspiring people though development of strong cases for support and propositions. This important role will require the successful candidate to have excellent researching and writing skills and to understand the importance of donor stewardship. Ability to travel across Somerset will be essential. Our client has ambitious plans to reach more people who need their specialist care by significantly increasing their charitable income in the next 5 years and this role is key to their success. If you are a self-starter, have the ability to produce and deliver results, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, are highly organised and have a passion for helping others, then this is the role for you.
