Consultant Psychiatrist CAMHS (HDU) - East Sussex

One of the leading Healthcare Hospitals’ is currently seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their High Dependency Unit located in East Sussex.
The large Hospital specialises in Adult Acute, CAMHS and Rehabilitation and Recovery. They offer a range of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient mental health services for young people and adults within a safe and supportive environment. The multidisciplinary clinical teams aim to provide the highest quality of treatment to enable the service users to receive an integrated and holistic approach to their care.

As a Consultant Psychiatric, you will join the CAMHS High Dependency Unit as a Responsible Clinician to patients. You will be supervising the process of referral and admission including contribution to the pre-admission assessments of young people. Your role will be a pivotal element of an established multi-disciplinary team, aiming to ensure that the service users receive a holistic and person-centred care and treatment programme. You will be expected to deliver the highest level of care that the service is known for.

You must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience of working in an inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties. It is essential for you to have experience at consultant level within the NHS, including the ability to conduct training. You should also continue to hold a registration with the GMC including being on the special register for psychiatry.
