A pioneering leader in education for children with Autism are seeking a Clinical Lead and Consultant Psychologist/Specialist Education Psychologist to join their excellent school in Bromley, Kent. Their approach is based on an eclectic fusion of child-centred and autism-specific strategies and techniques, with a clear focus on improving communication and interaction skills through positive interventions.

Working as a Clinical Lead & Consultant Clinical Psychologist or Specialist Educational Psychologist, this key position provides a systematic and high quality psychology service, working collaboratively with others to promote the psychological wellbeing, best interests and development of our children. In addition, this role supports and develops a high quality practice across Outcomes First group and contributes to the supervision and professional development of staff, research and dissemination of understanding, knowledge and good, evidence-based practice.

Main Responsibilities:

• To provide clinical and professional supervision to trainee and assistant psychologists working in the service.
• To provide specialist advice, consultation and training and (where agreed locally) clinical supervision to other members of the team for their provision of psychologically based interventions to help improve clients' functioning.
• Delegate responsibilities based on competence of staff and needs of the Company and review in order to promote teamwork and communication, in accordance with Company policy
• To participate as a senior clinician in the development of a high quality, responsive and accessible service for clients, their carers and families within the services, including advising both service and professional management on those aspects of the service where psychological and/or organisational matters need addressing.
• To exercise delegated responsibility for managing the psychological resources available to the service both in terms of psychological staff and psychological materials employed in the assessment and the treatment of patients
• To ensure the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice of the British Psychological Society and the company's policies and procedures.
• To take the psychology lead, as a senior clinician, to proposing, planning and implementing systems for the evaluation, monitoring and development of the service, through the deployment of professional skills in research, service evaluation and audit and ensuring incorporation of psychological frameworks for understanding and provision of high quality care.

Key Requirements:

• HCPC Registered
• A member of British Psychology Society
• Highly developed knowledge of the theory and practice of specialist, evidence based psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention to this specific client group.
• Experience of representing clinical psychology or educational psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency treatment and care.
• Experience of teaching, training and supervision/leading of other multi-disciplinary professionals and clinicians

Salary: £60,000 - £90,000
