Sewell Wallis are supporting an innovative and industry leading Professional Advisory firm to recruit an Accountancy Practice Manager. You will aid managerial planning and commercial decision making tasks by providing appropriate financial information and analysis.

Our client is a small but fast growing Professional Advisory firm and are expanding the Bookkeeping and Accountancy practice. With ambitious plans they have grown year on year and already have a fantastic portfolio of existing clients where they offer a number of outsourced solutions.

Based in Leeds with a superb purpose built environment they are seeking accounting professionals looking to progress in their careers.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

• Co-managing the Practice alongside the Current Managing Director, implementing team and business targets and monitoring the same.
• You will take on the management and supervising a small client sized portfolio, with a team of professional support staff around you to deliver.
• Development, implementation & delivery of management reporting to, Management and SMEs and corporate Clients, including but not limited to weekly KPI’s, monthly Board Pack, monthly Client P&L's.
• Provide advice to budget clients relating to financial matters in their businesses.
• Co-managing the Practice alongside the Current Managing Director, implementing team and business targets and monitoring the same.
• Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist in production of budget and forecast for the business and Managed Clients.
• Support working capital and CAPEX/investment management.
• Implement Procedures and recommend on improvements to financial and accounting systems, controls and processes, both internally and externally.
• Evaluate performance using financial data and identify opportunities for business improvement.
• Assist on any external audit processes, provide accompanying schedules and working papers along with liaison and various other information requirements.
• Develop effective decision support for Directors and Clients in relation to investment and all other commercial matters, including post-implementation evaluation.
• To have a focus on Business Development, seeking potential opportunities to secure future clients for the practice.
• The practice is expanding therefore presents a superb career opportunity for practice professionals looking to progress in their accounting careers as there will be potential for progression in the role to Partner level.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time
• To travel to client sites as required.

Accounting qualification (preferably ACA or ACCA).
Significant experience within a Practice with a proven track record of success.
Working knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks, TaxCalc, Media Production accounting highly desirable
Advanced user of Microsoft Office.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to consistently hit deadlines.
