Sewell Wallis are recruiting for a large, dominant business in Sheffield looking for a new member in their growing and successful team.

The job;

-Preparation of monthly financial statements for a number of profit centres.
-Consolidating, understanding, explaining the business result and working with Business Partners on judgemental provisions e.g. key stock provisions.
-Production of monthly reports and other ad hoc analysis.
-Contribution to the completion of the annual budget and forecasting exercises may also be required.
-Other activities will include the preparation and finalisation of company VAT reconciliations and returns, and supporting the Business’ balance sheet reconciliation and audit processes.
-VAT reconciliations and returns to HMRC.

The person;

Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent and be qualified, or close to qualification, with a recognised professional accounting body.
Experience of Navision or SAP systems would be beneficial but not essential.
Capability to work and reconcile a number of different operational and financial systems.
Strong problem solving skills. Able to define problems, systematically gather and analyse data to identify root cause and achievable solutions.
Continuous improvement mind-set. Diligent, hardworking, and reliable, with the ability to deliver high-quality work.
