We are one of the largest Further Education Colleges in the UK with more than 20,000 learners studying with us on a wide range of courses. Our mission is to equip people with the skills they need to be successful in education, in work and business and in their personal lives.

We are looking to recruit a Key Worker to provide learning support to 16 - 19 year olds within our Launch Pad who have learning difficulties or mental health needs. You will facilitate and support their learning and enhance their inclusion in the college to enable them to become successful learners.

The successful candidate will preferably have experience of working as a support worker within an educational setting as many of our Launch Pad students are disengaged (NEET) learners, who can present behavioural issues and learning difficulties.

Applicants need to have a minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent), together with a Level 2 qualification in Learning Support and a good understanding of the role of additional support within an educational establishment, a commitment to empowering learners and good communications skills.

Closing date: 20 March 2018

Interviews: 11 April 2018

Leicester College is proud of its diverse workforce and welcomes applications from the whole community.
