MECHANICAL AUTOMATION ENGINEER - HAMPSHIRE - £40.00 - £45.00 PH
A global Medical Device manufacturing organisation is looking for a Mechanical Automation Engineer to join their Technical Project team, in the Hampshire area on a contract basis.
The core function of this role is to introduce new technologies and automated process equipment, working within the project engineering group. Responsibilities include supporting and leading the design specification, development, commissioning and validation of new automated equipment and products. In addition, the Project Automation Engineer will be managing the whole process, and working alongside Validation Specialists to make sure the fully automated equipment meets the specifications.
The Mechanical Automation Engineer MUST have proven experience working on fully automated equipment, have a strong mechanical bias, and have worked on the installation of new equipment. In addition, experience with new product introduction (NPI), equipment modification, Commissioning, Qualification & Validation is required. It is essential that candidates also have experience of Lean Manufacturing (Six Sigma & Improvement Projects).
In order to be considered for this position, candidates will need to be a Degree qualified Engineer within a relevant Engineering discipline. Candidates will also need to have strong experience within a highly regulated and fast moving manufacturing environment (Medical Device/Pharmaceutical is preferred).
The role is based in Hampshire, and is commutable from Winchester, Basingstoke, Southampton, Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Salisbury, Petersfield and other locations in the Hampshire area.
