Working within the IT function you will be responsible for developing reporting solutions to support the strategy and operations of the Group. Partnering with Business Services teams and Legal Teams, you will be responsible for the design and build of quality reporting solutions for internal and external clients using advanced SQL / SSRS skills (incl full MS BI Stack) and T-SQL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Construct reports and use related SQL tools consistent with the objective of stated reporting or data analysis goals;
  • Create test cases for ensuring reports meet stated business objectives
  • Continually work on improving performance of queries and reports using industry standard methodologies for SQL generation and data analysis;
  • Recommend procedural improvements
  • Supports the development of reporting through the use of best-practice techniques
  • Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Responsible for the production and on-going maintenance of technical and functional report specifications.
  • Validate reporting output to ensure accuracy and integrity of results
  • Work in conjunction with various teams to identify root cause problems affecting reporting outputs
  • Work with the Client Services team to establish requirements and design/delivery of next generation business facing financial reporting
  • Responsible for compliance with key business processes including change control, maintenance of issues, risks and decision logs
  • Provide ad-hoc modelling and analysis to support decision making
  • SSRS Development experience including data-set design, visualisation, KPI's and Dashboards
  • SQL Query development, SSRS report distribution
  • SQL Server to conduct data mining exercises
  • Design, build, and maintain complex reports and data
  • Develop SQL stored procedures, views and functions
  • Knowledge of sub-reports, writing complex formulas and conditional formatting


  • Experience creating financial reporting models and consolidation dashboards
  • Experience of large-scale data loads, unload, backup and recovery procedures
  • Ability to build accurate and efficient data sets and stored procedures
  • Previous experience with Insurance data schema is essential
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and work unsupervised, managing many tasks
