We are working with an international travel insurance business with a growing presence across the UK and EMEA. They are looking to hire a Digital Marketing Specialist into their offices in West London.

The client are a leading global provider of travel insurance. With a growing presence in the UK and EMEA, the business are looking to hire a Digital Marketing Specialist into their growing UK digital team. This role is based in West London.

As Digital Marketing Specialist you will have responsibility for achieving revenue targets and implement online growth strategies for a significant portfolio of Cover-More & its strategic partners.

Your objectives will be to maintain robust relationships with our client, while increasing online traffic, customer satisfaction, conversion rates, sales values and sales generation.

You will deliver the online customer marketing program, and maximise revenue via online growth strategies, initiatives, website optimisation, online marketing, web and sales analytics, web testing and content optimisation.


Key responsibilities of the Digital Marketing Specialist:

  • Build robust client relationships to ensure mutually beneficial objectives are achieved
  • Communicate effectively with clients across sales, marketing, ecommerce and management teams
  • Collaborate and lead growth strategies with the clients in sometimes challenging environments, ensuring stakeholder buy-in
  • Achieve objectives and be able to evaluate multiple scenarios and make sound recommendations internally and directly to the client
  • Understanding client current/future eCommerce objectives, offering clients ROI focussed solutions
  • Demonstrate to the client knowledge of digital market trends, competitor activities and strategies, product knowledge and client or the company's environmental challenges.
  • Analyse website traffic and sales data for trends to identify and quantify customer habits and behaviour using this data to improve online sales

  • Recommend modifications to maximise traffic, customer satisfaction, conversion rate and sales generation

  • Translate customer needs into effective, valuable solutions

  • Apply focus to emerging platforms including mobile and tablet, to ensure robust coverage and highest possible conversions

  • Conduct market and competitor research

  • Manage Google Analytics

  • Adhoc/weekly/monthly reporting

  • Design deliver and manage a 12 month strategic online customer marketing program to improve brand awareness, customer satisfaction, ROI and online sales

  • Analyse and Report on campaigns and make recommendations to improve

  • Manage and own the company's and client expectations and results

  • Engage 3rd party service providers

  • Manage online marketing initiatives e.g. cart abandonment, affiliate marketing etc.

  • Manage online sales communications, including EDM's and automated emails

  • Ensure Social Media is integrated into all marketing/sales activities

    • Learn and understand emerging trends and technologies and to communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely
    • Onlinecopywriting.
    • Develop, implement and/or support client online content marketing strategy to drive SEO and online sales
    • Analyse and report on-site performance and make recommendations to optimise content
      • A/B testing via VWO, Optimizely or similar
      • Develop website scopes and project scopes
      • Online copywriting.


      What skills are needed:

      • A solid understanding of the digital landscape and online methodologies with proven online growth success
      • Financial Services (B2C) or insurance experience would be a benefit
      • Strong analytical skills and the ability and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations to prove sales, user experience and brand awareness
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to instantly connect with people and manage ongoing relationships for positive outcomes
      • Ability to define problems, collect and analyse information and make decisions, coupled with the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.

      • An eye for online graphical design of customer facing websites
      • Excellent planning, delegation and communication skills
      • Able to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting processes
      • MS Office Skills - word, excel, Content management Systems, html and Google Analytics

      Possess a competent knowledge of the Travel Insurance industry and the Organisations philosophy's and practices

      • Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing growth strategies to increase sales generation and conversion through the use of eCommerce and client management initiatives as well as:
      • A solid understanding of the digital landscape with a minimum of 3-5 years previous commercial experience in Online Optimisation, Account Management and eCommerce
      • Proven experience with client-facing communications and project delivery (this is both an internally and externally facing role)
      • Proven results in online growth initiatives
      • Exemplary interpersonal and client management capabilities
      • Worked within a large organisation dealing in consumer goods and/or distribution
      • Ensure cost effectiveness and profitability of all projects

      Job Offer

      Up to £50,000 plus benefits package and performance related bonus
