Our client's vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association their clients are at the heart of what they do. They provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
Brighton Street Outreach Service have been funded through the DCLG to pioneer an innovative approach to preventing rough sleepers. As a result they're looking to recruit a Rough Sleeper Outreach Navigator who will work with a range of partners across the city to prevent clients from becoming homeless in the first place. Managed by the Outreach Navigator Co-ordinator, the post-holder will implement the provision of rapid response to new rough sleepers ensuring that they are linked in with local services or reconnected to areas where they can access services as swiftly as possible. Taking a highly personalised approach this innovative team will form an important cog in the city's homelessness prevention work.
Our client is looking for someone with experience of working with individuals who are homeless/at risk and a sound understanding of case management. You will also need to have strong, flexible communication skills in order to form effective and professional relationships with external agencies.
