£30,000 - £50,000 + bonus + pension + LTIP

The Tracsis Group is a leading international provider of software and services for the planning and management of mass transit operations. We develop a range of software products which are used extensively within the rail and other public transportation sectors, covering all aspects of operations planning, scheduling, safety and performance, operations management and business reporting. Tracsis also offers a wide ranging consultancy service covering rail planning and strategy, as well as performance management and improvement.

With this in mind, we are recruiting Software Developers to join our existing team in Leeds which specialises in resource and scheduling software applications for the public transport industry.

As a Software Developer at Tracsis, you will:
- Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from assessing business requirements and design through to testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Develop and deliver software to agreed customer satisfaction.
- Work as part of a small development team, providing support to other team members where necessary
- Provide analysis of product requirements.
- Propose suitable technical solutions.
- Assist with estimating resources and identifying risks to achieve project goals.

Essential skills:
- 2.1 or higher degree in Computing, Science, Engineering or Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Experience of 00 design patterns
- Technically excellent with experience in any of the following: C#, C++, Java, Javascript, SQL.
- Functional Programming.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks or projects and prioritise effectively.
- Able to work on own initiative, an organised, communicative, quick learner, and team oriented.

Desirable skills:
- Experience or knowledge of functional programming using technologies such as Haskell.
- Experience of version control and continuous integration.
- Experience of unit testing such as nUnit or jUnit and automated browser testing such as Selenium.
- Experience of server provisioning using Chef or other similar technologies.
- Experience of Linux and AWS.
- Experience or knowledge of Postgres.
