Your new company
Your new company is a growing international manufacturing organisation, with 90 years behind them. Starting as a family run business, but now part of a group with multiple companies across Europe. Over the years they have expanded, supplying specialist metal products into many industrial sectors. Due to natural change in the business they're looking for a Production Support Technician.
Your new role
As Production Support Technician you will be responsible for providing support to the production process. Particular focus upon introducing new techniques and products, aimed at increasing output and efficiency will be a key activity. You will be required to contribute to process and continuous improvement programmes, including their implementation. The role involves working closely with production operatives to optimise manufacturing techniques, equipment and working methodologies to provide excellent quality product. The technician will also advise the sales team with new and bespoke products; and shepherd the first batch through to successful production. Additionally, you will be involved in the maintenance and development of the company's ISO 9001, 14000 and 18000 systems.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed within this role you must be a degree (or equivalent) qualified Technician/Engineer. Ideally your qualification will be in a mechanical or closely allied discipline you must also have experience in a similar role, within a manufacturing environment. Given the content of continuous improvement and change involved, good planning skills and the ability to communicate those plans with other team members, is required. Also necessary is the desire to drive the plans through to completion. Naturally, a good understanding of Health and Safety at Work and its application within a factory environment is a must.

In return you will receive a negotiable salary of up to £35,000 (this is dependent on the candidate and will be discussed during the interview process).
