Director - Accountancy Practice
Due to the potential retirement of a director, an established accounting and auditing practice is looking for another director to join their leadership team.
The company currently has 2 directors and employs over 10 members of staff, with turnover in excess of £700,000. They operate from a modern office and specialise in owner managed and family businesses.
The firm looks wherever possible to develop close relationships with all their clients and is therefore well placed to offer general business advice and support if required. They take a modern approach to their ethos and believe that employee’s work/life balance is crucial to high performance levels and job satisfaction. They are also mostly cloud based which means that the team and directors can work effectively from anywhere in the world if need be.
A new director would ensure that there continues to be a balanced leadership. They are looking for a new director who is personable and able to fit in with a modern and forward-looking company that not only delivers accounting and audit services, but also valuable business advice.
The successful candidate will need to have good leadership, organisational and communication skills and be comfortable in networking environments, as well as motivating other team members and of course providing first class accountancy services to clients.
The director will preferably be an ICAEW member but they will also consider a member of the ACCA. You will ideally have a client portfolio already but, if not, you will need to be prepared to be proactive in growing the initial client portfolio that is assigned to you.
Starting salary would be £70,000 plus bonus in year one.
