Examinations officer Required for a Maternity cover

Our client, who was awarded "good" from their most recent Ofsted visit (February 2013) is looking to appoint an experienced Examinations Officer to join their school for a maternity cover to start after the Easter half term break.

Core Duties of the Examinations Officer:
- To oversee the administration of the examinations department
- To maintain both paper and digital records in line with company policy
- To make decisions and advise in regards to the eligibility of exam candidates
- To liaise with exam centres/boards to ensure they have all the required information
- To assist in the exam results distribution function
- To verify applications in line with the eligibility criteria
- Prepare key exam documentation including accurate statistics
- To enforce company policies on data protection and handling of sensitive information
- To provide the highest level of customer service at all times

Skills/Requirements of the Exams Officer:
- Proven track record working with a Higher Education Institution or Medical environment
- Previous Exams/Assessments experience
- Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Significant experience of electronic record maintenance
- Knowledge of SIMS.net
- Experience of consistent meeting of deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Use of SIMs Examinations Module
- Excellent investigative and analytical skills
- Proven knowledge of relevant legislation
- Solid decision making and judgement skills
