Medical Writer - Medical Communications

Summary / Heading
A leading global MedComms agency is looking for a Medical Writer to join their writing teams, creating, developing and editing high-quality copy for a range of medical communications materials, ideally in the areas of transplantation, kidney disease, HIV or hepatitis.

You will be utilising excellent verbal and written communication skills to not only develop accurate scientific copy for a variety of printed and digital materials but also to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, advising on scientific issues and discussing therapy areas and client products.

The Medical Writer will be working with leading pharmaceutical clients and is expected to develop and deliver materials to budget and on time and effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders while maintaining their knowledge of therapy areas and the commercial landscape.

£30k-£40k per annum

Role / Description
Main Job Responsibilities:
* Working to create and develop a range of medical communication materials (both digital and print).
* Participating in new business development planning sessions.
* Participating in client meetings/teleconferences.

Candidate Requirements:
* Higher degree qualification in Life Sciences (preferably PhD).
* 1-2 years Medical Communications Agency experience.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
* Experience of working well under pressure.
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations.
* High level of organisation, attention to detail and time-management.
* Pro-active and enthusiastic.
