Construction Skills People are seeking an experienced Assessor with IQA qualification to support with the delivery of Business Improvement Techniques and Performing Manufacturing Operations qualifications to learners in their place of work. The role involves assessing learners against QCF criteria. You will also be responsible for supporting Apprentices to deliver improvements which have a benefit to their employer in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.

The post holder will report directly to the Regional Manager and will make and maintain productive relationships with all members of the team and customers.

The post holder will be responsible for enrolling, planning and progressing learning, working towards Diploma only programmes within given timescales.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for;

Visiting learners in the workplace and assessing them as part of their Diploma/Apprenticeship programme to ensure the successful outcome for the full qualification in line with contractual requirements and targets

Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with each learner. Develop learner portfolios to agreed standards and ensure timely submission

Visit learners at least every 4 weeks to complete a progressive visit to provide support, prepare action plans, undertake assessments and provide feedback on performance

Efficient and effective operation of the assessment process in line with company policy relating to quality and the requirements of the awarding body representatives

Assist with development of the provision to ensure the programme is up to date

Undertake Health and Safety checks for learners on programme
Maintain annual record of CPD

Participate in and support the annual self-assessment process

Attend and participate in meetings as planned and / or required

To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact

Contribute to the development of company processes / procedures and training manuals across the business.

This is a full time position.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Personal Attributes:

• Essential Assessment Qualification (V1/D34/TAQA/D32/D33/A1)
• Teaching qualification at Level 3
• GCSE’s Grade C and above in English and maths
• A minimum of one years’ experience in delivering Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) & Performing Manufacturing Operations (PMO)
• Relevant vocational qualification
• Good IT skills – databases, spreadsheets and word processor
• Previous experience of working remotely
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An ability to motivate, inspire and transfer knowledge to the learner with a strong focus on quality
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Determined and results focused with an emphasis on delivering outstanding service
• Full, Clean driving licence
