2nd/3rd line Support Engineer

Location is Manchester

Salary is 25k-30k

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly talented technical support analyst/Engineer to join a leading Online Retailer / Tech company in Manchester. We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer to deliver 2nd - 3rd line support for the staff at our head office in Manchester. You will be working to upgrade and maintain our existing Windows infrastructure, guiding and mentoring other members of the team as well as assisting in the upcoming office move during the summer 2018. The desired candidate will have gained experience of working with large infrastructure platforms, and be exposed to working with large teams.

The Role

  • May assist in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of office telephony system
  • Maintain backups
  • Use of the corporate incident management system to record and track all support work
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software records for corporate assets
  • Assist with the procurement of hardware and software
  • Support the team's abilities and functions through positive staff relations
  • Contribute to the improvement and enhancement of processes and procedures
  • Support other Service Desk members with technical escalations and knowledge transfer
