Job DescriptionA leading marketing software and services provider is looking for an Internal Support Consultant.

They are a provider of a robust, reliable, online solutions for professional marketers to promote their business via email and online tools. As a business that is growing steadily via sales success we are now looking for an additional member of the support team.

The key responsibility of the team is to providing support for the entire company infrastructure as such we are looking for a base of experience in the following technologies:

- VMware Virtualization (This includes ESXi hosts/server creation, Virtual machine configurations, Network configurations).
Basic knowledge of SQL server including SQL queries, Stored Procedures, SQL Jobs.
DNS including DNS records, DNS Authentications and DNS Delegation.
SBS servers which includes active directory, MS exchange, group policies.
SMTP, FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP as well as IIS, SSL and a basic understanding of API's.

To succeed in this type of role applicants must have following qualities:
Must be able to work well under pressure.
Should be genuinely interested in learning new technologies.
Have excellent English written and verbal skills.
Should be a dedicated and hardworking person looking for a long term career position with the company.
Must have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to understand and empathise.

Desired but not essential:
Understand the role of MTA's in email sending processes.
Email deliverable.
Sender Reputation (IP/Domain).
Linux commands and basic configuration.
Knowledge of system backups and recovery.
Basic knowledge C# and PHP.
Knowledge of RAIDS, SAN's, Cloud infrastructure, Server Upgrades.
Knowledge of installations, configuration and monitoring windows servers (2003, 2008, and 2012).

To apply we are looking for an outstanding education, ideally a Computer Science degree (2.1 or above from university) or a proven track record in a similar role defined above.
As with any true support role there will be occasions when evening/weekend work would be required for upgrades etc.

On offer a negotiable £25 - £30k
